Do you realize how weak you feel if you move around a bit in the sun during summer. The weakness is mainly due to the water that goes out of your body as sweat. In other words you get dehydrated.
A useful way of overcoming the dehydration is oral saline. If you have just a glass of oral saline during the day, you will feel re-energized in a few minutes.
In Bangladesh summer can get quite long and hot. And especially for birds, since they spend almost all their times out doors, you can notice them a bit tired and worn out towards the later part of the afternoon or evening.

If you are a bird owner chances are that you experience feelings of fright and helplessness if your bird suddenly shows signs of illness. Not knowing what is wrong with our feathered friend is the worst kind of feeling and not one I would wish on anyone.
A good way to keep an eye on your birds health is by monitoring its droppings or poop. Every bird species - especially pets - have their own signs of healthy and not so healthy droppings and these can often be determined when you look at your birds poop colors.
It is your responsibility to check your birds poop every single day by examining its color, smell and shape. Doing this will soon tell you if something is seriously wrong with your bird in the event of illness and you could just save your pets life.

birds are becoming more and more popular as pets. There are a variety of bird species and sizes to choose from. The smaller birds are the Parakeet, Canary, Finch, Budgies, Lovebird…the larger birds are the Cockatiel, African Grey, Cockatoo, Amazon, Quaker, among others. birds are highly intelligent animals. They are extremely social creatures… fairly inexpensive to feed… relatively easy to care for… and display amazing colors and behavior patterns that are interesting to watch and have even proven to improve peoples health i.e lower blood pressure and stress levels. The smaller birds… canaries, budgies, love birds…are ideal for apartment dwellers. Cages: Stainless steel or aluminum cages are more fitting for housing bird(s) than are painted cages. Not only will they give longer service, but the older painted cages may contain lead based paint which is toxic to birds. Cages should be wide enough for the bird to stretch its wings.

If you are considering buying a parrot as a pet then there are a few things you should know about providing proper care. Parrots are a bit different from other birds in that their needs can be a bit greater. This is especially apparent when you consider their cages. A parrot cage should be a good deal different from a regular bird cage for several reasons. These differences may not seem like much on the surface but when you consider them thoroughly you will understand.
The first of these reasons is that a bird cage built for smaller birds can be too small for a parrot. A parrot cage offers a great deal more room in which to move around so that your new parrot will not feel cooped up. Also, smaller bird cages can be easily damaged by a parrot's strong beak. A parrot cage, on the other hand, is built to hand the rigors that a parrot can put it through.

As unpleasant as vomiting may be, it is a fact of life. My pet cockatiel got sick to his stomach last week.
On Saturday August 23rd, 2008, my 4 and a half year old pet cockatiel, Beenie, was ordinarily regurgitating a treat to his friend, Baby who always rejects poor Beenie's offerings of food or preening (grooming of feathers). Regurgitation of food to another bird or human is a sign of affection. But Beenie's regurgitation was getting out of the normal realm. He began spitting out pieces of Nutriberries in different directions.. There was a strong force behind this action that got out of control. My poor little cockatiel was not only spitting out seeds. He was throwing up clear liquid as well. It went all over his poor little face and matted his beautiful feathers.
