When we think about adopting a dog we generally think about getting one that looks cute, or is a purebred dog or we tend to want to adopt a puppy. While these are all great dogs to adopt there are many small dogs waiting to be adopted. These small dogs for adoption are usually found lost and abandoned. Some have been given by their owners for various reasons to shelters.
These small dogs that have been given into various animal shelters have all the adorable looks of a puppy. Their small size makes them perfect as companions for children and people who live in small homes.

In winter many of us put out food and water for garden birds not only to help them through the hardest time of the year but also because they are such a pleasure to see.
Living near the river as I do I put out food all year round and enjoy a wide variety of visitors, but many people I have spoken to about my passion say that either they don't see very many birds, or that even the food they put out sits there untouched for week son end until they finally through it away.
What a shame this is.

Then the parents continue to care for their young, bringing food to the nest site as needed. The chicks of some bird species, like chickens, are already covered with down and can start finding their own food. birds also have wings, evolutionary adaptations of ancient forelimbs. Most use their wings for flight, but others, like ostriches and penguins, are grounded.

It seems like forever since I have heard the sweet voice of a bird. Yes, I have heard it on television and on radio but it has been much longer since I heard the real voice, the real singing of a beautiful bird in real life. So, I wonder, why. I wonder why I am missing this awesome event when it is something that my heart longs for.
I am not fussy; I do not need to choose the bird or the time or the place. I am willing to settle for the song or voice of any bird at all, providing I could hear it this week. Now all of you who live in the country are thinking that I am being silly or perhaps you are wondering why I have not heard this sound in such a long time. Thing is, I have just been busy. And I never thought that I could be so busy that I would miss birds.
